about

Twin Cities based MC/Beatboxer Carnage earned his stripes over the last ten years building an undeniable resumé. Touring with the likes of Atmosphere and Eyedea & Abilities enabled Carnage to steal the hearts of countless rap fans around the world. In addition to opening up for legends like The Rza, KRS-ONE & Yelawolf, Carnage has become one of the most exciting artists in the midwest. Respect The Name is Carnage’s third full-length studio release as a solo artist.
On Respect The Name, the 37 year old beast sounds like a 19 yr old starving artist on a hunger strike. What’s special about RTN is that you are experiencing all that Carnage has to offer: athletic, style driven rhyming as well as the newly-discovered knack for story-telling and an ability to compose musical soundscapes with his mouth. Largely produced by Carnage himself, the album’s sound is as melodic and musical as it is raw and intense. You are hearing the brutally-honest, sobering yet triumphant story of a man who has lived a life full of tragedy, insanity, & that thing we all need: change. Culturally-relevant, socially-conscious and heart-warming, RTN covers many bases and still maintains the tightness of a cohesive album.
